Nacional Atlético Clube

Nacional Atlético Clube is a traditional club from Paraná founded in Rolândia in 1947, currently based in Campo Mourão. It is recognized as the first champion of professional football in Northern Paraná.

History

Nacional Atlético Clube was born on April 28, 1947, when eleven friends from Rolândia, under the presidency of lawyer José Luciano de Andrade, founded the first football club in the young city of Paraná. The team turned professional in 1950 and quickly became a regional reference, winning the title of first champion of professional football in Northern Paraná. Throughout its trajectory, the club alternated periods of strength in state divisions with phases of inactivity, including a hiatus between 2016 and 2017. It resumed professional activities in 2018, the year it won the Third Division of Paraná, repeating the feat already achieved in 1998. In 2019, Nacional was champion of the FPF Cup, a conquest that guaranteed the team an unprecedented spot in Series D of the 2020 Brazilian Championship. The club also won the Second Division of the Paraná Championship in 2003 and 2008. In 2024, after almost 77 years based in Rolândia, Nacional announced its move to the city of Campo Mourão, where it currently maintains its headquarters and plays its matches, remaining active in the Paraná football scene.
