Women's Náutico

Women's football department of Clube Náutico Capibaribe, created to represent the Pernambucano club in state and national women's competitions.

History

Náutico organized its women's football team in the late 2010s, following the movement of Brazilian clubs that began investing in women's football after growing interest in the sport in the country. The team began competing in the Pernambuco Women's Football Championship, one of the main state tournaments in the Northeast. Beyond state competitions, the black and white team also participated in editions of the Copa do Brasil Women's Football Cup, seeking to expand its national relevance and develop athletes for professional football in Pernambuco. The club uses the structure of Estádio dos Aflitos and Náutico's training center for team development, maintaining the commitment to strengthen women's football in the region.
