History
Founded in 1901, Nautico is one of the most traditional clubs in northeastern Brazilian football, with a centennial history marked by state championships and participation in national competitions. The club reached its national peak mainly between the 1980s and 2010s, alternating between divisions of the Brazilian Championship. It plays its home matches at Arena Pernambuco, one of the stadiums built for the 2014 World Cup, and maintains a historic rivalry with Sport Recife.
