NEC Nijmegen

NEC Nijmegen is a Dutch football club founded in 1900, one of the oldest in the country, which alternates between participations in the Eredivisie and the Eerste Divisie.

History

Founded in 1900 in the city of Nijmegen, NEC (Nijmegen Eendracht Combinatie) is one of the most traditional clubs in Dutch football, resulting from the merger of local clubs in the early twentieth century. The club had spells in the Dutch first division across various decades, developing talent and competing in European competitions at specific moments in its history. It plays its home games at the Goffertstadion, a stadium located in the Goffert Park, one of the sporting symbols of the city of Nijmegen.
