History

Founded in 1975, Neuchâtel Xamax quickly became one of Switzerland's strongest clubs. In the 1980s, it won the Swiss Super League five times (1986-1993), establishing itself as a dynasty. The club also won the Swiss Cup and regularly participated in European competitions, reaching the semi-final of the European Cup in 1986.
