History

Founded in 1902 in the city of Norwich, in eastern England, the club adopted the Canaries nickname in reference to canary breeding, a traditional activity in the region. Norwich established itself as a mid-table club in English football throughout the 20th century. The club's main period of success came in the 1960s to 1980s, when it won two editions of the English League Cup, in 1962 and 1985, achievements that remain the greatest titles in the club's history. In the following years, Norwich became known for its trajectory of promotion and relegation between the Premier League and the Championship, maintaining a loyal fan base at Carrow Road.
