Esporte Clube Novo Hamburgo is one of the most traditional clubs in Rio Grande do Sul, founded in 1911 in the city of Novo Hamburgo, in the Sinos Valley. Known as Anilado, it is a symbol of gaucho football with a long history in the Campeonato Gaúcho.

History

Founded in 1911 in the city of Novo Hamburgo, in the Sinos Valley, Esporte Clube Novo Hamburgo is one of the oldest and most traditional associations in Rio Grande do Sul. The nickname Anilado is linked to the cultural identity of the region, strongly influenced by German immigration. The club competed in several editions of the Campeonato Gaúcho throughout the twentieth century, facing the major forces of the state such as Grêmio and Internacional, as well as regional rivals from Serra Gaúcha and Sinos Valley. The rivalry with clubs in the region is one of the most intense in gaucho football. Estadio do Vale, the club's home, witnessed landmark moments in Novo Hamburgo's history, hosting decisive matches in state competitions. The stadium is a sports heritage of the city and the region. In national competitions, Anilado participated in editions of Series D of the Campeonato Brasileiro, seeking to reach the higher divisions. With more than a century of history, Novo Hamburgo remains as one of the references of gaucho football and Sinos Valley.
