History

Founded in 1973 in the city of Novo Horizonte, in the interior of São Paulo, Novorizontino spent decades competing in regional competitions before gaining national projection. The club achieved unprecedented access to Serie A of the Brasileirão in 2024, becoming a symbol of the rise of interior São Paulo football. The Jorge Ismael de Biasi Stadium, affectionately nicknamed Jorjão, is the stage for great celebrations with the local supporters. The yellow and black identity and the Tiger nickname reflect the determination that the club demonstrates on the field. Novorizontino built its reputation with impressive campaigns in Serie B, where it became known for an organized and efficient style of play. In 2019, the club won the title of Serie A2 of the São Paulo State Championship, consolidating its recovery in the lower divisions.
