History
Founded on March 6, 1927 in the city of Itápolis, in the interior of São Paulo, Oeste FC traveled a long path until consolidating itself as one of the representative clubs of São Paulo football. With the growth of the São Paulo metropolitan region, the club eventually transferred its headquarters to Barueri, a municipality in Greater São Paulo, where it began playing its matches at Antônio Soares Oliveira Stadium. Over the decades, Oeste built a history marked by rises and falls between divisions of the São Paulo State Championship. The club even competed in the elite of state football on multiple occasions, facing the biggest teams in Brazil. Its main strength was always the development of young talents and the use of experienced players seeking one last opportunity. In the 2010s, the club experienced its most notable moments in Serie B and Serie A of the Brazilian Championship, becoming known nationally. Financial problems, however, led the club to a process of weakening that culminated in the closure of its operations in the early 2020s, ending almost a century of history.
