Paraguay's oldest and most successful club, founded in 1902 by Dutch educator William Paats, considered the father of Paraguayan football. With three Copa Libertadores titles and more than 40 national championships, it is the only Paraguayan club to win the continental tournament.

History

Founded on July 25, 1902 in Asunción, Olimpia is the most traditional institution in Paraguayan football. In 1979, it experienced its most glorious year by winning the Copa Libertadores and the Intercontinental Cup. It won the Copa Libertadores again in 1990 and 2002. With more than 48 Paraguayan Championship titles, the Decano is the country's most decorated club and one of the most respected institutions in South America.
