History
Founded in 1899, Marseille dominated French football in the 1980s and 1990s under the presidency of Bernard Tapie, winning four consecutive Ligue 1 titles. In 1993, the club reached its peak by winning the Champions League against AC Milan in Munich. Despite scandals and relegations throughout its history, the club always resurfaced as a powerhouse of French football. Legendary players such as Papin, Cantona, Drogba and Ribéry wore the blue and white shirt.
