Once Caldas

Colombian club from Manizales, capital of the Caldas department. Second Colombian team to win the Copa Libertadores, in 2004, defeating Boca Juniors in the final. Its colors represent the coffee cycle: green of the seedlings, white of the flower and red of the ripe fruit.

History

Founded on January 15, 1961 following the merger of Deportes Caldas and Deportivo Manizales, Once Caldas achieved its greatest feat in 2004 by defeating Boca Juniors and becoming champions of the Copa Libertadores, becoming only the second Colombian club to lift the trophy. In the historic campaign, it eliminated Santos, São Paulo and Boca Juniors. With four national titles, it is one of Colombia's most traditional clubs.
