Operário Ferroviário is a football club from Ponta Grossa, Paraná, with a long tradition in Paraná football and recent spells in Serie B of the Brazilian Championship.

History

Founded in 1913 by railway workers of the Railway Network, Operário Ferroviário is one of the oldest clubs in Paraná. Throughout its history, the club alternated between state and national divisions, being traditionally strong in inland Paraná. In the 2010s, the club experienced its period of greatest national prominence, gaining promotion to Serie B of the Brazilian Championship and competing in the competition for several seasons, impressing with its organization and financial planning. The Germano Krüger Stadium, also known as 'Vovô', has been the club's home since its foundation and is one of the symbols of football in Ponta Grossa.
