History

Founded in 1912 by workers from the Paraná-Santa Catarina Railway Network, Operário Ferroviário is one of the most traditional clubs in inland Paraná. Throughout its history, it alternated between state and national divisions while maintaining a strong connection with the city of Ponta Grossa. During the 2010s and 2020s, the club experienced a period of growth, achieving promotions and competing in Series B of the Brazilian Championship across multiple seasons, establishing itself as a competitive force outside major metropolitan areas. Germano Krüger Stadium, known as Vila Capanema, is the team's home and one of the traditional landmarks of Paraná football, with a devoted and passionate fan base.
