Operário Futebol Clube
Operário Futebol Clube is one of the most traditional clubs in Mato Grosso state football, based in Cuiabá. It has historically competed in the Mato Grosso Championship and national lower-division competitions.
History
Founded in 1912, Operário Futebol Clube is one of the oldest clubs in the state of Mato Grosso, having witnessed the development of organized football in the region. Throughout its history, the club has won several state titles, being one of the main rivals of Mixto and Dom Bosco in the Cuiabá derbies. The club has already competed in national competitions organized by the CBF in its lower divisions, but maintained its main base of operations in the regional scenario. The home venue is shared at José Fragelli Stadium, known as Verdão, one of the main stages of Mato Grosso football. Despite not having achieved great national projection in recent decades, Operário-MT preserves historical and social relevance in Cuiabá, maintaining youth categories and seeking sports reconstruction in state competitions.
