History
Founded on March 5, 1912 by workers of the Paraná-Santa Catarina Railway Network, Operário Ferroviário has always carried the identity of Paraná's working class. The club dominated Ponta Grossa's regional football for decades and won numerous Paraná titles. After difficult periods in lower divisions, it returned to the top of Brazilian football starting in 2019, competing in Série B of the Brazilian Championship. Germano Krüger, its stadium, is considered one of Paraná's most traditional. The rivalry with Atletico Paranaense and Coritiba always stirred regional football.
