Paris Saint-Germain 2025

Paris Saint-Germain squad for the 2024-25 season, managed by Luis Enrique. It was the team that won the club's first Champions League title, thrashing Inter Milan 5-0 in the final in Munich.

History

Paris Saint-Germain was founded in 1970, from the merger between Paris FC and Stade Saint-Germain. Since its purchase by Qatar Sports Investments in 2011, the club has dominated French football, but the Champions League remained a gap: the 2020 final, lost to Bayern Munich 1-0, was the closest it had come until then. In 2023, Luis Enrique took over. In 2024, Kylian Mbappé left for Real Madrid. The team began to rely on a collective of young and intense players, with Ousmane Dembélé as the offensive reference, Vitinha and João Neves in midfield, Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes on the flanks, Marquinhos as captain and Gianluigi Donnarumma in goal. In January 2025, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia arrived. In the European campaign, PSG went through the playoff against Brest and eliminated Liverpool on penalties in the round of 16, after a 1-1 draw in the aggregate. In the quarterfinals, it eliminated Aston Villa and in the semifinal, beat Arsenal 3-1 in the aggregate. In the final, on May 31, 2025, at the Allianz Arena in Munich, PSG defeated Inter Milan 5-0, with goals from Hakimi, Désiré Doué (two), Kvaratskhelia and Senny Mayulu. It was the largest victory ever recorded in a final of the main European club competition. In the same season, the team was French champions for the 13th title and won the French Cup over Reims 3-0.
