Paula Ramos emerged in Florianópolis in the 1930s, amid the growth of amateur football in the Catarinense capital. The club established itself as one of the most popular clubs in the city, alongside Avaí and Figueirense. The highlight of its trajectory came in 1959, when Paula Ramos won the Catarinense Championship, breaking the hegemony of the state's big clubs and marking its name in Santa Catarina's football history.
