History
Perilima was born on September 8, 1992, created by a biscuit and cracker manufacturing company from Campina Grande. Its professional debut took place in 1998, in the Second Division of the Paraíba Championship, in which the club finished as runner-up. In 1999, the team reached the state elite, but was relegated. From then on, it experienced cycles of promotion and demotion and faced a severe financial crisis throughout the 2000s, eventually receiving support from fan communities on the internet. The club was never Paraíba champion, but has accumulated six Second Division runner-up titles: 1998, 2000, 2001, 2004, 2006, and 2018. After about seven years inactive, it returned to competitions in 2017. Perilima also became nationally known for its president Pedro Ribeiro Lima, who even took the field as a player when he was in his 60s.
