History

Philadelphia Union was founded in 2010 and began competing in MLS in 2011. The club is based in Chester, Pennsylvania, and represents the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Since its creation, Union has established itself as a competitive force in the MLS Eastern Conference, reaching the MLS Cup final in 2022. The team is known for its attractive style of play and for investing in the development of young talent. Subaru Park, opened in 2010, is one of the best stadiums in MLS.
