History
Primavera Athletic Club was founded on January 6, 2022, in the city of Primavera do Leste, in the interior of Mato Grosso, to occupy the space left by previous clubs in the city, such as Juventude and the former Primavera Esporte Clube. With a predominantly purple and white uniform, the club became known by the nickname Purple Giant, and adopted Dinho as the mascot symbol of its supporters. In 2025, Primavera AC won the Mato Grosso State Championship by defeating Cuiabá Esporte Clube on penalties, a historic result for a club with only three years of existence and which consolidated its rapid rise in state football. As state champions, the club secured a place in Series D of the 2026 Brazilian Championship, also competing in the Brazilian Cup, and plays its home matches at Estádio Municipal Antônio Santo Renost, popularly known as Cerradão.
