A club from the interior of Amazonas, based in Manacapuru, that gained national projection by eliminating traditional teams in editions of the Copa do Brasil.

History

Founded in Manacapuru, a city about 68 km from Manaus, Princesa do Solimões was born as an amateur football club before professionalizing its department and competing in state competitions organized by the Amazonas Football Federation. The club became known throughout Brazil for its participations in the Copa do Brasil, a competition in which it usually surprises elite opponents by playing at home, taking advantage of the Amazonian heat and the support of the local crowd. In addition to national disputes, Princesa do Solimões is a regular competitor in the Amazonas Championship, also serving as a breeding ground for revealing players to larger clubs in the country.
