November 15 Club
A centennial club from Vale do Rio dos Sinos, founded by workers from one of the first shoe factories in Rio Grande do Sul. One of the most traditional teams in the interior of the state.
History
The club was founded on November 15, 1911, in Campo Bom, by workers from the Vetter & Irmãos shoe factory, receiving its name in honor of the founding date. The first matches took place in a field known as Morro das Pulgas, at the back of the factory, and by 1912 the club was already playing friendlies against teams from Porto Alegre, such as Sport Club Colombo. On October 3, 1917, the club merged with the German Shooting Society and the Lyra Singing Society, forming the Concordia Society. Decades later, on April 30, 1975, the Concordia Society and November 15 Sports Club reunited, giving rise to the present November 15 Club. In professional football, the team experienced its best moments in the early 2000s, becoming runner-up in the Campeonato Gaúcho in 2002 and 2003, and finishing third in Copa do Brasil in 2004, one of the greatest campaigns by an interior club from Rio Grande do Sul in the national competition.
