History

Real Murcia was founded in 1908 and is one of the most traditional clubs in the Murcia region. Throughout more than a century of history, the team alternated seasons in the elite of Spanish football and in the second division. The club received the title of Real, granted by the Spanish monarchy, and adopted burgundy as the main color of its uniforms. The nickname Pimentoneros refers to the agricultural tradition of the region, known for paprika production. For many decades the team played its home games at the old La Condomina stadium. In 2006, it moved to the Estadio Nueva Condomina, a modern stadium that became the club's home. Real Murcia maintains a loyal fan base in the region and continues to be a reference in Murcian football, with constant participation in the professional divisions of Spanish football.
