Red Bull Brazil
A club from São Paulo state based in Campinas, originated from the historic Esporte Clube Barcelona and renamed after Red Bull's acquisition in 2007. It primarily competes in state competitions and the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior.
History
The club was founded as Esporte Clube Barcelona in 1913 in a neighborhood of the same name in Campinas, with a long tradition in football in São Paulo's interior regions. In 2007, Red Bull acquired the club and transformed it into a youth talent development project, following a model already used by the brand in other countries. Since then, Red Bull Brasil has invested heavily in youth categories and infrastructure, becoming a reference in player development in São Paulo football. The team usually competes in the promotion divisions of the Campeonato Paulista and is a traditional participant in the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, the country's most important youth competition.
