History
Founded in 1919 in the city of Rio Branco, capital of Acre, Rio Branco EC quickly became the state's main club. With its traditional white and blue colors, the club built remarkable hegemony in the Acre State Championship throughout the 20th century. The club developed various talents who went on to play for prominent teams in Brazil, being the main gateway for young Acre athletes entering professional football. Despite the financial difficulties faced by clubs in smaller states, Rio Branco maintained its tradition and continued competing on the national scene, participating in editions of the Brazilian Championship Series D. The Florestão, its official stadium located in the state capital, is the main venue for state football and hosts the club's most important games and regional competitions.
