History

Founded on November 11, 1913 in Americana, in the interior of São Paulo state, Rio Branco Esporte Clube quickly became one of the most representative clubs in the São Paulo interior. With white and red colors and the nickname Tigers, the club built a strong identity with fans in the Campinas region. The club's peak came in the 1940s and 1950s, when Rio Branco won titles in the São Paulo State Championship and established itself as a major power in state football. Estádio Décio Vitta, in Americana, was the venue for great classics and remains a symbol of the club's centennial tradition. In the following decades, the club went through periods of ups and downs, alternating between divisions of São Paulo football. Even with less visibility than in its golden years, it continued to compete regularly in state competitions. With more than 110 years of existence, Rio Branco is a historical reference for Americana and for interior São Paulo football, proof of the resilience of traditional Brazilian clubs.
