History
Founded in 1909 in the city of Rio Claro, in the interior of São Paulo state, Atlético Rio Claro Association is one of the oldest clubs in São Paulo football. The club participated numerous times in the different divisions of the São Paulo Championship throughout the twentieth century, establishing itself among the traditional clubs of the interior. The Newton Pé-de-Moleque Municipal Stadium, the club's main venue, is one of the historic stadiums of interior football, stage of memorable confrontations against major clubs in the state. The Rio Claro fans enthusiastically followed the team's best moments in the divisions of the São Paulo Championship.
