Founded in 1920, Rio Negro Clube was born on the banks of the world's largest river and became one of the greatest institutions of Amazonian football. Over more than a century of history, the club has won numerous titles in the Amazonas State Championship and revealed talents who pursued careers in other states and abroad. The club competed in several editions of Series C and D of the Brazilian Championship, representing Northern football with dignity on the national stage.
