Rio Preto Football Club

Rio Preto Football Club is a traditional institution of Paulista football, founded in 1947 in São José do Rio Preto. It actively participates in the São Paulo Championship and national competitions, maintaining a strong presence in the football scene of the interior of São Paulo.

History

Founded in 1947, Rio Preto Football Club was born from the enthusiasm of the Rio Pretense community for football. In the 1950s and 1960s, it experienced its peak, regularly competing in the São Paulo Championship first division and winning regionally significant titles. The club was a breeding ground for several talents who later stood out in major Brazilian clubs. From the 1990s onwards, it maintained intermittent participations in state and national competitions.
