Esporte Clube Rio Verde

Esporte Clube Rio Verde is a football club from the city of Rio Verde, in the southwest of Goiás, that competes in state competitions organized by the Goiás Football Federation.

History

Founded in 1975, Esporte Clube Rio Verde emerged as a representative of the city of Rio Verde in Goiás' regional competitions. The club built its identity competing in the lower divisions of the Goiás Championship, alternating seasons of prominence with periods of restructuring. Over the decades, the club became a sports reference in the southwest region of the state, developing athletes for larger teams in Goiás and serving as a breeding ground for regional football. Today the club continues to operate mainly in Goiás football's access categories, keeping alive the sporting tradition of the city of Rio Verde.
