Rosenborg BK
Rosenborg BK is the most successful club in Norway and one of the most renowned in Scandinavia on the European stage. Founded in 1917 in Trondheim, the club dominated Norwegian football almost uninterruptedly for decades. The Lerkendal Stadium, with a capacity of around 21,000 fans, is one of Norway's most modern stadiums.
History
Rosenborg won 26 consecutive Tippeligaen titles between 1992 and 2004, one of the most impressive runs of dominance in European football. The club regularly participated in the UEFA Champions League group stage during the 1990s and 2000s, reaching the quarter-finals in 1996-97 and eliminating clubs such as AC Milan. Manager Nils Arne Eggen was the great architect of the club's golden era. Players like Steffen Iversen, Roar Strand, and Harald Martin Brattbakk left their mark on Rosenborg's history.
