History

Santos Futebol Clube was founded on April 14, 1912 and became one of Brazil's most successful clubs, known worldwide for the Pelé era. In December 2023, however, it was relegated for the first time in its history. In 2024, the club competed in the Serie B of the Brazilian Championship with the mission to return immediately to the elite, maintaining Vila Belmiro as its main venue. Santos finished the competition in first place and was champion of Serie B 2024, with Mirassol among the clubs that also rose to Serie A. In January 2025, already back in the elite, the club announced the return of Neymar, an idol formed in its youth categories.
