For decades it competed in the Amapá Championship alternating good and bad moments, establishing itself as a traditional club in the capital. In the 2010s the club experienced its most successful period, winning a series of state titles that placed it among the biggest champions in Amapá. With these achievements, it secured spots in national competitions such as the Copa do Brasil, Copa Verde, and Série D of the Campeonato Brasileiro. Playing their matches at Estádio Zerão, Santos-AP built rivalries with clubs like Ypiranga, Trem, and São José, starring in the main decisions of recent Amapá football.
