History

São Bernardo Football Club was founded in 2005 to fill the vacuum left by the absence of a strong professional club in the largest city of ABC Paulista. Since its creation, it has grown rapidly through divisions of national football, achieving promotion to Serie B of the Brazilian Championship. The club plays its matches at Estádio 1º de Maio, a historic stadium in the city with capacity for approximately 16,000 supporters. In 2023 and 2024, São Bernardo FC reached the elite of the Paulista Championship, demonstrating consistent sports management. The club's blue and white identity reflects the colors of the working-class and industrial city, achieving strong identification with ABC supporters.
