History

São Paulo created its professional women's team in 2019, seeking to gain ground against rivals who had already invested in the sport for years. Investment intensified in the following seasons, with the signing of prominent female players and training infrastructure matching that of the men's team. In 2023, the club won the Brazilian Women's Championship undefeated, establishing itself as one of the forces of national women's football and gaining greater media visibility for the team. The 'Soberanas' also competed in the Copa Libertadores Femenina, representing the club in international competitions.
