São Paulo Football Club

São Paulo Football Club is the only club in the world to win the FIFA Club World Cup three times, in addition to three Copa Libertadores titles. It is considered the most organized and professional club in Brazil.

History

Founded in 1930, São Paulo became a national powerhouse in the 1980s and 1990s, under the management of coach Telê Santana and players such as Sócrates and Cafu. Between 1992 and 1993, it won two consecutive Copa Libertadores titles and two FIFA Club World Cup titles. In 2005, it won the Club World Cup again, becoming the only club to win the trophy three times. Morumbi was the largest privately-owned stadium in South America for decades.
