Club Atlético Sarmiento

Club from the city of Junín, in the province of Buenos Aires, that competes in Argentina's Primera División.

History

Founded in 1911 in Junín, Club Atlético Sarmiento spent much of its history competing in lower divisions of Argentine football, reaching the first division more consistently from the 2010s onwards. The club played its home matches at Estadio Eva Perón and established itself as a representative of the interior of Buenos Aires province in the elite of national football, also competing in continental competitions such as the Copa Sudamericana.
