Serrano Foot Ball Club
Century-old club from Petrópolis, in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro. It is one of the most traditional teams in the interior of Rio de Janeiro state.
History
Serrano Foot Ball Club was founded in 1915 in the imperial city of Petrópolis, in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro state, and is one of the oldest clubs still active in Rio de Janeiro football. Known as the Lion of the Mountains, the club built its history competing in championships organized by the Rio de Janeiro federation, maintaining a constant presence in state divisions and rivaling other teams from the interior of the state. Playing its home matches at Atílio Marotti Stadium, Serrano keeps alive the tradition of Petrópolis football, with strong identification with the city and continuous work developing athletes in the mountainous region.
