Sevilla FC

Sevilla FC is the oldest club in Andalusia and one of the most respected in Spain, with a rich history and a very strong regional identity. The club became synonymous with excellence in Europe by winning the UEFA Cup and the Europa League a record number of times. The Sánchez-Pizjuán is famous for its intimidating atmosphere for visiting teams.

History

Founded in 1890, Sevilla is one of Spain's oldest clubs and spent much of the twentieth century as a consistent regional force. The major transformation came in the early 2000s, when the club began investing in quality signings and building a European identity. Between 2006 and 2023, Sevilla became the greatest winner in the history of the UEFA Europa League, winning the trophy six times. Players like Dani Alves, Sergio Ramos and Ivan Rakitic passed through the club before becoming world stars.
