History

Founded in 1899 in Dublin, Shamrock Rovers is the club with the most titles in the history of Irish football, the greatest symbol of the League of Ireland. The club experienced its peak in the 1950s and 1960s, a period when it dominated the national scene, and regained hegemony in the 2010s and 2020s under a new organizational structure. It plays its matches at Tallaght Stadium, in the Dublin metropolitan area, and has already represented Ireland in editions of European competitions such as the Europa League and the Conference League.
