History

Sheriff Tiraspol was founded in 1997 and quickly established itself as a dominant force in Moldovan football. Since then, it has won multiple Moldovan League titles and the national cup. In 2021-22, it achieved a notable participation in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, facing elite opponents such as Real Madrid and Inter Milan, establishing itself among the leading clubs in Eastern Europe.
