Sinop Football Club
Football club from the city of Sinop, in northern Mato Grosso, one of the main representatives of the inland areas of the state in national competitions.
History
Founded in 2004, Sinop Football Club quickly became one of the main forces in Mato Grosso football, rivaling traditional clubs from the state capital Cuiabá. Throughout the 2010s, the club gained space in the national scenario by competing in lower divisions of the Brazilian Championship, representing the interior of the state in competitions of national scope. The Galo do Norte consolidated itself as a reference for organization and investment in youth categories in the Amazonian region of Mato Grosso, contributing to the formation of local players.
