History

Founded in 1947, Śląsk Wrocław became one of the most traditional clubs in Polish Silesia, winning its first national title in 1977. The club became Ekstraklasa champions again in 2012, under coach Ognjen Vukojević, consolidating one of the best periods in its recent history. With home ground at the modern Stadion Wrocław, built for Euro 2012, the club remains a reference in football in western Poland.
