SK Slavia Praha
SK Slavia Praha is one of the oldest and most traditional clubs in the Czech Republic, founded in 1892 in Prague. Historic rival of Sparta Praha, the club forms with it the 'Prague Derby', one of the oldest rivalries in European football. The modern Eden Arena, inaugurated in 2008, has a capacity of over 20,000 spectators and is one of the most modern arenas in Central Europe.
History
SK Slavia Praha was dominant in Czech and Czechoslovak football in the early decades of the twentieth century, winning multiple national titles. The club reached the UEFA Cup final in 1995-96, being defeated by Paris Saint-Germain, its best recent European campaign. In the 2010s, Slavia underwent a renewal and won several Czech league titles, regularly participating in the Champions League group stages. The club is known for revealing talents to the major European markets.
