AC Sparta Praha

AC Sparta Praha is the most successful club in the Czech Republic and one of the most traditional in Central Europe. Founded in 1893 in Prague, the club has won more national titles than any other Czech or Czechoslovak club. The historic Letná Stadium, located on one of Prague's hills with a privileged view of the city, has a capacity of over 19,000 supporters.

History

AC Sparta Praha dominated Czechoslovak and Czech football throughout the 20th century, winning dozens of national titles. The club was a constant force in European competitions in the 1990s and 2000s, reaching the Champions League quarter-finals in 1992. It produced iconic players such as Pavel Nedvěd, Vladimír Šmicer and Tomáš Rosický, who became stars of European football. Sparta is considered the 'Czech Real Madrid' because of its history of achievements and glamour.
