History
Founded in 1901, Stade Rennais is historically recognized as a club that has always been at the elite level of French football without ever winning the national title. The club reached various Coupe de France finals throughout the 20th century, winning the trophy in 1965 and 1971. The arrival of the Red & Black Investments fund in 2011 marked a new era of ambition for the club. In 2019, Rennes surprised everyone by winning the Coupe de France, and in the following years, the club consistently qualified for European competitions.
