SK Sturm Graz

Largest club in the city of Graz and one of the most successful in Austria, founded in 1909 by students. With five Austrian Bundesliga titles, it broke Red Bull Salzburg's hegemony in the 2020s and returned to the UEFA Champions League in 2024-25 after more than two decades of absence.

History

Founded on May 1st, 1909, the club became the greatest force in Graz football. Its most glorious period came in the late 1990s, with two consecutive Austrian championships (1998 and 1999) and participation in the Champions League. After a long drought, it was reborn in the 2020s, winning the Austrian Bundesliga in 2024 and 2025 and breaking Red Bull Salzburg's dominance, in addition to returning to the Champions League for the first time since 2000-01.
