History

Taquaritinga Futebol Clube was founded in the city of Taquaritinga, in the interior of São Paulo state, and throughout its history competed in regional and state competitions organized by the São Paulo Football Federation. The club alternated participations between the lower divisions of the Paulista Championship, acting mainly as a representative of the central region of the state. Even without major state titles, Taquaritinga maintains relevance as one of the historic clubs of amateur and semi-professional football in inland São Paulo.
