History

Tondela Football Club was founded in 1914 in the small locality of Tondela, in Covilhã. Historically a club of the Portuguese second division, it achieved promotion to the First League in 2018 after a long trajectory. It competed in the elite of Portuguese football between 2018 and 2023, facing the largest clubs in the nation.
